Create
- Go to
System > Manage > Site Modulesto open the Module Manager. - Click New.
- Select
Simple Tag Filter.
Setup
As with any module, publish it, assign it to a module position, and assign it to a menu item. For more information, see the Joomla Modules Documentation.
The module will only appear on supported pages when tags are available to display.
Display

Tags can be displayed in three ways:
- Buttons: Only one tag can be selected at a time.
- Buttons Multi-select: Multiple tags can be selected.
- Dropdown List: A Bootstrap dropdown list.
Style
Buttons can be styled as Tags or as a Pill Switcher.
Style: Tags
Style: Pill Switcher
The Pill Switcher provides an animated transition that dynamically tracks your cursor as you hover over different options.
Alignment
You can align the tags to either the start or the center of the module position.
Parent Tag
You can display a subtree of tags by selecting their parent tag.
Pre-Selected Tag
This setting allows you to pre-select a tag, which defines the content displayed on the page by default.
For example, if you have a category blog page with articles tagged with Music and Films, pre-selecting the Music tag will display Music articles by default. Users can still click the Films tag to filter the content.
Display Number of Items
This option displays a counter next to each tag label.

Use on Pages
This setting defines the types of pages where the module will be active. It determines both which tags are displayed and the module's overall visibility.
